"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I need your urgent attention

Hello Dear
I am Miss. Mary Yucky  19 years old From Ivory Coast. I lost my parent’s in an auto accident years ago, and since then life has not being easy with me. Before the death of my parents, my late father who was into gold and diamond business, deposited a sum of $7.5 Million Dollars with a bank, and he used my name as his only child/daughter and beneficiary. Recently, I received series of death threats from my uncles, trying to kill me because I refused to give them deposit certificate this fund, after selling the entire properties of my late father.
Now I have ran to an orphanage home out of city, hoping to found a new life abroad by the grace of God.Few days ago I made an attempt to gain access to the funds but the bank director say’s my late father told him that I must reach 23 years old before I can access any of his property. The director said they will only recognize any person of my choice, I will present to claim the funds. But before then I have to write a letter of authorization from a legal office.
Please if you are ready to assist me and stand as my late father’s foreign business partner and help me come over to your country to start a new life and further my education. I am ready to offer you 25% from the total sum, why you will help me invest the remaining 75% in a profitable business of your choice.
Yours sincerely
Mary Yucky
