"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello Friend,
My name is Paul Owusu I’m 19 years Old studying at University of Legon. My father is a Ghanaian while my
mother an Indonesia and my parent reside in Ghana before my father passed away 3 years ago with my two
siblings in accident. Unfortunately, I am the only child of my parent and I am currently looking after my sick
Mum who is undergoing medical treatment of Cancer.

My late father was the Managing Director of Mining Company in Ghana, also a successful exporter of Gold
to UK, Dubai, China and Munich during his life time while my mother was a senior lecturer at the university
before her illness. My parent acquired a lot of wealth which is hosting in a bank fixed deposit including
100KG of Gold at storage house. The medical Doctors has confirmed to me that my mother won't live long.

Due to my age and status as student, I feel insecure handling this asset alone because I have no
knowledge of business and extended family members were never in good relation with my father when he
was alive. It is my decision to bring you into this business as my legal trustee/guidian to liquidate all asset
left behind by my late father for investment so i can start a new life and finish my education in your country.
Please confirm your willingness to assist me in this.
Regards,
Paul Owusu
