"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: ATTENTION

I am Andy Chu, Chief Investment Advisor of a large sized Asset Management Company in Hong Kong. I handle investments portfolios of hundreds of clients. I only require your solemn confidentiality on this.

Pardon my approach, but I am in need of your assistance due to a unique situation that could benefit us both. It has to do with an estate portfolio worth sixty Million USD under a shell company which is secretly owned by Yahya Jammeh the ex-president of the Gambia. It is one of the estates I manage personally.

Mr. Jammeh,s representative has contacted me to discuss possible ways to liquidate the estate and have the funds transferred to him. Our proposal is that with your permission, I can put you as the beneficiary of this estate so you may receive these funds and transfer to his representatives. For you assistance and troubles, twenty five percent of the estate would be yours, while fifteen percent would be mine..

Due to the sensitive nature of the subject I am unable to disclose too many details at this stage, but if you are interested please contact me on my email andychu931@gmail.com as this is my private contact. Once again I request you keep this matter confidential as I am a family man. I hope to hear from you soon.
