"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

This message is reaching you in confidence demanding your straightforwardness, honesty, utmost sincerity to confidently execute this transaction as detailed herein. I am the senior accounts manager - banking, credit and investment, Metro Credit Union Limited. I have been monitoring a deceased investor's dormant account for over 3-years without anybody coming as next of kin, business associate of the deceased. I received a letter from the Treasury department to file unclaimed bills to the bank Treasury department because unclaimed deceased accounts are officially confiscated after 3-years of the dormant account.

I have decided to wire the funds into your bank account hereby placing your details as the deceased only survival relation residing outside Prince Edward Island., the wire transfer will be officially executed immediately the deceased account is audited with your information confirming you the only survival relation to the deceased with backup Family Tree & Genealogy approval from Charlottetown, Queens County Municipal Council of Prince Edward Island., the county seat of Queens County. Named after Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, queen consort of the United Kingdom, Charlottetown was originally an unincorporated town that incorporated as a city in 1855.[2] It was famously the site of the Charlottetown Conference in 1864, the first gathering of Canadian and Maritime statesmen to debate the proposed Maritime Union and the more persuasive British North American Union, now known as Canadian Confederation.

I look forward in anticipation of your positive reply to handle this deal confidently, kindly provide the following required information to my private email below; your contact home address, contact cell phone number for private discussions, your first name, surname and your middle name, attach your current identification card, indicate your occupation.

Yours faithfully,
