"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: The Situation in Libya

I am Kasamu Turaki, a Libyan citizen, now residing in UK due to the renewed civil war by different Militant groups. My father- Dr.Zamalek Turaki was killed in Benghazi due to his religion as a Christain worshipper and the most annoying aspect is that my father was killed in inside the church while worshiping his God and when my life was threatened to be killed too, I decided to escape to London until peace and harmony returns back to Libya.

I have decided to contact you based on my believe that you are a trustworthy person whom I can develop a business relationship, as my father had made some deposit with an institution here in UK and I would like to invest with an overseas partner because in Libya the war and killings appeared to be continued. Honestly, I want to invest and make use of this fund in your country, as I cannot invest here in UK due to high-tax regime and harsh monetary laws. Note that you will adequately be compensated as you will manage this funds and the investment for the benefit of us.

Your urgent response will be highly appreciated while I will further furnish you with the full details and the next step. Let me stop here, hoping to hearing from you soonest. Thanks for your anticipated cooperation.

Regards,

Kasamu Turaki
