"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

DEAR FRIEND,

I have US$42 Million now ready for Transfer, 70% for me and my colleagues and 30% for you, for your assistance,

Contact me if you are interested, I have all it will take to move the fund to any of your Nominated Bank Account as a Contract Fund to avoid every query by the authority in your Country. I will give you more details upon the receipt of your response to prove myself and office.

I got your e-mail address through an internet marketing firm while searching for a reliable and reputable person to handle this transaction which involves the transfer of the sum of Forty Two million United States dollars to a reliable account abroad, Your role is important due to the fact that there are lots of restrictions binding we civil servants here, and we are not allowed to operate foreign accounts.

This amount was secured from excess oil sales from Nigeria crude oil years back, over $100 billion oil windfall was realized by the NNPC and shell petroleum development company for a short period of time, The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Crude oil price was peg at $22.00 per barrel and fortunately for oil producing countries like Nigeria, there was rises in oil price to about $27.00 to $29.00 per barrel and as a result there was excess oil sales and I believe you would be aware of this rise in Oil price in last two to four years. (NOT NOW THE OIL PRICE IS LOW) Out of this over$100 billion excess oil funds, my colleagues and I were able secure this fund because of our position, we diverted the sum of US$42.Million which we now want to transfer into your account.

YOUR ROLE IN THIS TRANSACTION;
To provide a good bank account for the transfer of US$42m, You will stand as one of our contractor who have executed a contract years back, and the beneficiary of the US$42m which will be paid to you without delay, [ALL LEGAL APPROVALS WILL BE DONE BY US HERE].

Note that the reason for the transfer of these funds into your account is because of our incapability as Government officials to own a foreign account.

All the necessary documentation for the facilitation and approval of this fund in your favor will be carefully taken good care of hence we are involved. I am assuring you 100% risk free as all the modalities for the smooth transfer of this fund into your Account have been planned; you will take thirty percent (30%) for your assistance and for the safe keeping of our sixty percent (70%) for some time pending when we will come down for disbursement.

To enable us proceed with this business, please send to me immediately your direct phone number to communicate with you, only if you are interested to work with me.

Best Regards,

Mr. Gibson Chima.
