"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Matter on Funds transfer

The Financial Services Authority. of Nigeria.

Financial Services Authority.
Plot 10,Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Way
Central Business District,
Cadastral Zone,Abuja,
Federal Capital Territory,
Nigeria.

My name is Dr. Okwu Joseph Nnanna , the director of Financial System Stability, Financial Services Authority. of Nigeria. (FSA).I crave your indulgence to read through this email carefully.

I am writing you with regards to your long overdue contract payment from Nigeria. These funds includes Contract Funds, Inheritance Funds, Lottery and Lotto Funds, Investment Funds, Charity Funds and many others. These funds have been handed over to the Financial System Stability, Financial Services Authority of Nigeria to confirm details of their beneficiary's and release the funds to the beneficiary's respectively. Your name is among those listed for payment hence I am contacting you.In the course of our forensic accounting audit investigation of these banks and companies,we came across an unpaid fund owed you.

I and my Audit Team was appointed to audit the financial books and records of various banks and financial institutions including including NNPC,Mobil, Royal Dutch Shell, Chevron, Total, Elf, Texaco, Coca Cola, Pepsi and other Corporations operating in Nigeria to ascertain the reason or reasons why numerous amount of funds have remained unclaimed and unpaid nor released to various respective beneficiary's.

I am compelled to write you after due assessment of your unclaimed funds over the years of which, the Financial Services Authority. of Nigeria have duly carried out investigation. The Financial Services Authority. of Nigeria was setup for the purpose of providing a one stop shop for clearing all stalled payments for all levels within the Nigeria, i.e., inheritance funds, contract funds, Lotto's and Bank Awards.Financial Services Authority. of Nigeria came into existence by an act of parliament vested with power to approve for payments all eligible beneficiary's.

You will agree with me that, for a long period of time, foreign transfer management arrangements in UK have been characterized by major shortcomings. One area of weakness was the diffusion of responsibilities across a multitude of agencies hence your transfer could not be realized till date.

These diffusion in the management of transfer payment in the past created fundamental problems including Operational inefficiency, lack of consistent well-defined payment policies and debt management strategies;poor coordination and payment of unnecessary fees. The consideration of these myriad of problems led government to give express mandate to to embark on a general conduct review of your pending transfer aimed at achieving and meeting our targeted mandate of paying your funds in the most effective way consistent with the objectives of the new administration in Nigeria.

To proceed, you must accept the difficult fact that people you have strongly trusted and associated with are only working against your interest and as such they will do everything to hold you back by extorting money from you without doing the right thing to liberate your transfer. Your transfer file came to my attention just this morning, and I was compelled to take special interest in your transfer because of its peculiar history of procedural inconsistencies and unauthorized payment approval documents that are contained in your file. Preliminary evidence shows clearly that some fraudulent persons you have dealing with have been extorting monies from you through concocted excuses and lies, only for them to divert the monies collected from you to their private pockets and return back to demand more monies from you endlessly.

The Financial Services Authority. is responsible for the regulation of the financial services industry in Nigeria. Its board was appointed by the President. The FSA was accorded legal status by amendment to Section 38 of the Financial Regulation Coordinating Act. I want to bring this to your attention that, the office of the President have given me express mandate to ensure the transfer of your funds is completed without anymore delay.

Now the transfer of your funds is now before my decision with a clear mandate from the office of the President. Therefore, I wish to bring it to your attention, that, the funds is ready for remittance and shall be transferred to you with reliability. The fund has been approved for payment and I have the Original Legal papers for it. Contact me urgently ASAP for more details about this payment.

Given the above targeted mandate, we are willing and committed to releasing your transfer which have already been queued up for release. You are advised to respond to this email for further information to be communicated to you.

Kind regards.

Dr. Okwu Joseph Nnanna.
