"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Esteem Customer,

This the office of the director of Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System.

It is quit sad that the transfer of your funds had been delay for sometime due to some administrative rules that has not been strictly followed.

The two gentle men have tried to make this transaction possible but for some reasons beyond their control they could not and they have pleaded with me to help make sure that the funds credit your checking account in your country within 24 hours.

To be Honest with you the reason why they have difficulties crediting the funds into your account is because newly introduce financial policies which rendered the previous system ineffective and most of the old system used have been discarded and they could not stand the test of time, I understand that you you have struggle for years to get this funds transferred through many sources that have cost you lots of cash. With the new E-Payment system, The transfer is immediate without any clearance procedure (the funds transfer takes place in real time). The average duration of a transaction is 2 mins. It is the most suited e-payment option for online purchases and payments.

So it has been a difficult task for the two gentlemen to get it right unless some of those files is re-validated but thank God that they have been able to get most of them re-evaluated until this stage that my help is required as a superior officer.

One problem that is facing the final crediting of the funds into your account is the high volume of the amount to be transfer and the analog system they are using to transfer this funds can not accept up to such amount to be transferred international but with the present E-Payment system is easy through the NEFT Method.

The two gentle men had persuaded me to upgrade your files to the E-Payment system and make the transfer through the NIPS Method but due to the high volume content of your fund I find it difficult to mortgage my job as I will be held responsible in case of any short coming and blame, if the right process is not followed.

The only way this could be possible for me to upgrade your transfer to the E-payment method is that you must first obtain the (CBN) Endorsement and notification clearance before the E-Payment will be initiated.

And because of this if we fail to secure the said endorsement it will trigger investigation of the above commission and by then I will be charge for misconduct considering that the volume of your funds had exceeded what the law states, unless in a special case like your own.

Please understand that the volume of your fund is above what the Law has authorized so we need the endorsement to justify this if you do not want to entertain further delays and issues that will result in you paying fees after fees.

Please respond for more direction on what is needed to be done if you need your funds to credit your checking account within the shortest time.

I wait for your call as I still have other advise that will be useful for you and to save you from throwing away money more money.

Mr. Patrick Walker
