"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: COMPLIMENTS,

Hello,
I wish to transfer the sum of Three hundred and fifty million American Dollars ( $350,000,000.00 US Dollars) which belong to Late Deceased, Thermos Beach. The fund has been dormant (in- active) for 10 years in our Bank here without anybody coming for it. I want to release the fund to you as the nearest person to our deceased customer Thermos Beach (the owner of the account) who died a long time ago with his supposed next of kin in air crash since on 31st July 2000.

I have confidently discussed this issue with some of the bank officials and we have agreed to find a reliable foreign partner to present as the next of kin, whom the funds will be released on a mutually agreed percentage of 40% for you, 50% for me and others involved, while 10% would be for expenses from both sides

I wait very urgent to hear from you.

Sincerely Yours,
Mr Nelson
