"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: A plea for urgent assistance,

Dear Sir/Madam
My name is MRS.ADELIA IDAHOH. I am a sixty-two years old(62)widow battling with a protracted illness(lungs cancers)and doctors have predicted my imminent death in six(6) months time weighing on gross-complications.

However, my late husband prior to his death was an affluent oil magnate and a benefactor of enormous fortune and his death has left me as the sole surviving beneficiary of twenty-seven million four hundred and eighty-three thousand united states dollars($27,483000USD) which he deposited in a bank.

In retrospection, my marriage having ended in childlessness, and taking cognisance of my faith and fate,I have made solem resolve to channel and commit the entire money to charity works ranging from the welfare of my fellow widows, orphans, churches to a comprehensive upliftment of humanity.

Besides, the money could be used for profit oriented investment purposes for the sustenance of the entire programme. But the decision is all yours to take!

Subsequent to this development, I'm therefore urgently in dire need of an honest and trusthworthy individual who has flair for the things of GOD to help me champion the course of this initiative and endeavour.

Invariably its imparative to reaffirm to you that this transaction is 100% accident-free and should be handled in utmost good faith and unbiased confidentiality. For your assistance I'm willing to offer you 20% of the total money, while the remaining 80% will be strictly utilized for the already earmarked purposes.

Please indicate your willingness to render this humanitarian assistance urgently so as to enable me know what next step to take.
