"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Investment of US$600m

Sir,

Request for your Help to Invest the sum of US$600m lodged in a
Transit Account of the Bank of Ghana

I am Mr. Alan John Small, a business consultant based in Accra
Ghana. I am the sole confidant and business advisor to Mr. Andrew
Yakubu, the immediate past Group Managing Director of Nigerian
National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). He is presently locked up
in Kuje prison Abuja and awaiting trial on allegations of
corruption.

Through my help and advice, he deposited the sum of US$600m in
the Bank of Ghana via a Transit Vault Account. The fund was
earmarked for the purchase of Bank of Ghana Treasury Bills.
However, due to reported failure of the apex bank to meet
investor expectations at the time, the total fund was left in the
Bank’s transit Vault account.

Following the arrest and detention of Mr. Andrew Yakubu, he
instructed me to search for a highly qualified individual to
invest the fund on his behalf outside Africa. He is of the
opinion that the searchlight of Nigerian authorities will not be
directed outside Africa. What you are expected to do:

1.Open a bank account in a commercial Bank Ghana through a
Finance House to transfer the US$600m into your personal account.

2.Order the transfer of the fund into your personal account
outside Africa.

3.Prepare an agreement that meets international standard
stipulating confidential terms and non-circumvention clauses. I
shall act on behalf of Mr. Yakubu at all times.

4.Recommend viable investment options with comprehensive business
plan and annual rate of return on investment.

This is very urgent and I want you to confirm your readiness to
assist upon receipt of this email. alanjsmall@yahoo.com

Yours truly,

Alan John Small
