"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am write this mail to you because I want you to help me and receive (GBP.2.000.000.00) Two million British pounds sterling which my late father deposited with my name in a bank in Europe, and the bank sent me an E-mail yesterday that I should come and claim the money because I am the only surviving person in my family. I want you to receive the money on my behalf and keep it safe for me, because the money is in my name.

Its so sad that one afternoon I came back home, and see my fathers house destroyed by bomb by the rebels, and my family were inside the house when this happened, I lost my two brothers and my father and mother.  Since all my family members has died in war, I see no reason to live and enjoy my life again. My father was murdered with my mother at the same day.
