"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello

Good day,

I hope this message meets you in good health, I know, this letter will come to you as a surprise but I implore you to take your time and read it carefully. I am writing this message from my sick bed.

My name is Mrs.Rose Higgins, I am a 68-years old widow, I am an American Citizen and a very religious Christian.

I have been battling with Cancer. Which is at a very critical stage right now and I have been informed by the medical experts that I have few weeks to live, this has been the most painful and difficult period of my life, I don’t wish this experience to my worst enemy.

I have some money which I inherited from my late husband, the sum of £7.8 Million British Pounds that is deposited in my name in a Bank in London, United Kingdom. I need a very honest and trustworthy person who can use this money for Charity works on my behalf. I don’t want to donate this money to an established Charity Organization because majority of them have been proven to enrich themselves instead of doing the actual Charity Work which they get donations for.

So I want to give this money to you, so you can use it for Charity works. I found your email address from the internet after searching and praying to God, asking God to show me the right person. I trust my instincts and I make judgements based on what my heart tells me, So I strongly believe that you are the right person to do this Charity work, that is why I am sending this message to you.

I want to assure you that this is not a stolen money, it is clean money free from any type of illegality, and there is no risk or danger involved in this process. There will be proper and legitimate transfer of ownership which will be handled by my lawyer.

You will take 25 percent of this money for your personal use then use 75 percent for the charity work. Please I need an assurance from you that you will execute this charity work with utmost sincerity.

Your quick response will be greatly appreciated, so I can give you more detailed information.

Sincerely,
Mrs.Rose Higgins
