"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: IMPORTANT! Seeking your concent

For your kind attention,

I am Anthony Magdi, senior credit officer of the Dah Sing Bank Ltd. I have a concealed
business proposal for you.

After the United State and Iraqi war, our client Mr. Mark who was a back door weapons contractor
and also business man, he made a numbered fixed deposit for 10 years in 2003. This was done in my branch.

Upon maturity since 2013 several notices was sent to him yet no response came from him.
We later found out about his demise.

This is a private banking investment with no contingent attached in the event of casualty.

It cannot be released to another individual except he or she is the contingent.

What bothers me most is the next auditing of our financial institution; According to the law of this country
every dormant investments unclaimed is transferred to federal treasury.

Against this backdrop, my suggestion to you is that I will like you as a foreigner to stand
as the contingent to Mr. Mark's investment so that you will be able to receive his funds.

Upon your acceptance, I will reply with the full details and pre-requisite for this project.

I hope to hear from you soonest

Warm regard

Anthony Magdi
