"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOONEST

Dear one
I know this letter may surprise you, I came across your e-mail contact
from my personal search and I decided to reveal this secret of life as
I prayed before sending you this email. I believe you will be honest
and sincere to fulfill my last wish before I die.
My names are Mrs. Younes Hoda Rajab, 54 years old, my country of
origin Libya and I write to you from the hospital in Ivory Coast where
I was hospitalized and I stayed in the hospital for two months because
of a long illness of breast cancer. Obviously, my condition is really
deteriorating, and my doctors have courageously advised that I will
not live beyond the next month because the stage of cancer has reached
a critical stage
My late husband is the official secretary of state who died during the
Libyan uprising and before his death he relocated me and my only
daughter to Ivory Coast. My late husband has also deposited $ 5.3
million still in the safe of the bank.
I want you to help me claim the funds as a foreign partner of my late
husband, after receiving the funds in your account in your country,
you will adopt my only daughter, 15years and she will relocate to your
country for the continuation of her education because she cannot
return to Libya for security reasons.
Keep 30% of the money for your help to my only daughter and invest the
rest of the money on behalf of my daughter. I believe you are in a
better position to help me claim the Fund from the Bank.
Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I stated here.
Hope to hear from you soonest.
