"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Your Goods from Japan

I have US$10 million sitting in my bank account here in Japan earning very little interest. Therefore, I need a Partner who can invest this money for us to share.
I will not attempt to transfer this money bank to bank because the correspondent banks in between will block the transfer because of insufficient documentation.
Consequently, I intend to purchase UNCUT/ROUGH DIAMONDS and send to your address as bonded consignment via air cargo. Rough/uncut diamonds have a ready market anywhere in the world,
and are easy to sell at a good profit. A dealer can easily be found who can pay for the entire lot!

To prove to you that this is possible, with absolutely zero risk, I will personally accompany the "GOODS", and deliver the consignment to your address.

If you are interested in this venture, please reply with the following information, and I will give you full details on the way forward:

1. Your full name
2. Your current address including Country, City, and zip code
3. Your Mobile Number
4. Your fax number if available
5. Your Nearest Airport

Sincerely,

Mr. Tamura Nakazawa
