"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Attention:

I am the diplomatic agent responsible for the delivery of your Two
consignment boxes . I was not earlier informed that the content of
your boxes are Dollar bills; it was at my arrival at the Washington
Dulles International Airport and through interceptions by the Custom
Authorities that it was discovered through a Custom Scan that the
Boxes are filled with Dollar Notes valued at $3.7 Million. The Custom
Authorities had to scan the locked boxes to make sure it was not Drug
Trafficking nor any sort of Money Laundry. The paper works which were
also discovered through the Custom scan proved you as the rightfuls
owner of the consignment boxes and all of it's contents. I appended a
copy of the custom scan on the email ATTACHMENT; Please do review it.

The Custom Authorities said that I am free to continue with my
delivery to your address because all the paper works are in order;
however, they insisted that for them or any Airport Authority to allow
me passage with these type of consignment, I need to obtain a
Clearance Certificate.

I presented the Yellow Tag and my US Boarding Pass but they refused. I
asked the man in charge Mr. Wade Pruett the reason for all this delay
because the entire necessary documents are complete and this Shipment
have been on transit from PARIS FRANCE and the authority over there
didn't demand for such Certificate and he did not give a detailed
reasonable answer of the stop, but keep on telling me that it's
illegal to enter the country with the UN open Consignment Box without
the CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE.

At the moment I have negotiated with the Authority to allow me in with
the consignment boxes to your address but they refused. They now
directed me to contact the origin of the Consignment box to get the
Clearance Certificate and I've called my Company and they contacted
Benin Republic Embassy and through the help of a Customs Officer Mr.
Byron Fowler, they said that it will cost the sum of $125.00 and you
must understand that delay will not help any of us in this delivery
and I’m still trying to meet up with the FLIGHT SCHEDULED today.
I advice that you try the best you can to ensure that you send the
$125.00 to my Company Immediately through Money Gram or Western Union
with the name below so that they can obtain the required Clearance
Certificate to enable me board my flight and start coming over to your
address, please send the fee to our Office in Benin Republic with the
information below:

SEND IT WITH OUR COMPANY RECEIVER'S INFO:

Receiver's Name: CHRIST OGU
Country: Benin Republic
City: Cotonou
Amount: $125.00

supply to me all the information on the Money Gram or Western Union
payment slip when you are through with the payment so I'll forward it
to my Boss Mr. Joseph Alonzo Karlneti to enable them pick it up and
secure the Clearance Certificate and get it fax to me, I will be
forwarding this email to my company now. To avoid any delay, once you
get the money sent kindly email me for me to be updated.
