"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Update

Did you receive my previous email about the business proposal? I will like to inform you that the issue of inheritance can be anybody, it is not mandatory for the beneficiary to be related to the deceased, it does not even matter of you are from different countries, the most important thing is that there must be documents to show for it, which would stipulate your status as the sole beneficiary to the funds deposited at the bank.

You should not have anything to worry about, I will do everything legally required to ensure that the project goes smoothly, it shall pass through all Laws of International Banking, and you have my word.I will prepare the necessary Affidavits which shall put you in place as next of kin. However, for these funds to be released within the next 18 working days by the bank, it is imperative at this point to take preemptive steps that are necessary for the realization of our objective. Please get back to me in receipt of this email.
