"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear Funds Owner.!

Dear Funds owner,

I'm Mr Tony Haynes, newly appointed Manager of a Scottrade Bank's branch ,ST.LOUIS,MO 63131-1834 . From last Thursday that I resumed working in this new position, I was made to review your pending transaction. On my desk is a completed report from the investigation of your online funds' transfer, which was purportedly cancelled by the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB). As it is on record here, the total amount of money to be transferred to you is Eight Million, Five Hundred Thousand US Dollars (US$8,500,000.00). The record shows you were duly informed that the transaction would be cancelled, since you couldn't provide what was required. Contrary to what you were told way back then, the transaction wasn't cancelled outright; it was suspended by a court's injunction. Right now, Scottrade Financial Service has been given the mandate to complete the transaction with you. Do you want your funds' release concluded now?

Kindly contact me on scottradeonline@gmail.com

Committed to serving you,

Mr Tony Haynes.
