"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: RE: VERY URGENT

Hello,
This is to inform you that Depth Reconciliation Committee have
post your cheque payment to HSBC bank in USA for u to pick up.
It will be delivered tomorrow. You are to contact Mr. Tabaka at
HSBC to direct you on to get ur funds transfer to you.
Total sum written on cheque is $2 million.
Was it you or your company that did the supply of products? On
our computer your sales@affordableagility.com address is attached
to a file showing you did a contract for supplies and you have
not been paid that is why the cheque of $2 million is issue to
your name.
Call me or send me a mail to me so that I will give u guidelines
to receive your funds.
Other company have received there payment and I just help a China
company to process a long over due contract payment of $30
million, so yours will be easy too.
