"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I warmly greet you

My Dear Friend,

Greetings to you.

I am sorry if you receive this message on your bulk/spam folder,

I am Mrs. Amelie Adison 68years old from Japan, married to
a British citizen without a child; I am suffering from cancer of the
breast. I lost my husband few years back by gun men.

I came in peace, and wouldn’t want you to take this message as a
spam/ordinary message. My aim of contacting you is for you to join
hands with me for us to help the less privileges, poor, widows,
widowers ETC. because while my husband was alive he saved some funds
for our un-born children. Now that he is dead and I am too old and
sick is my duty to release these funds so that the bank will not sit
on the funds. I will be delighted to hear from you, please remove any
fear and doubt for this transaction is 100% real and risk free.

God bless you
Yours Friend

Mrs. Amelie Adison
