"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I NEED YOUR HELP

Dear good friend,
I am writing to you with deep pain and sorrow in the heart, I am very sorry to contact you this way. My name is Mrs Rebecca Hermann, a widow from Sweden without a baby.
For the past 8 years, I've been suffering from severe cancer, and in the last 3 years I live in a hospital. I'm at a hospital in Stockholm. After consultation with my doctor yesterday, I was told that I can not live in the next 3 weeks.

. Before the sudden death of my husband, we have agreed to establish a charitable foundation that will help life and people in need. My deceased husband has deposited an amount of 10.5 million euros with one of the banks here in Sweden, with the name as the only nearest family.

But now that he is dead, I want his soul to be happy wherever he is, so we are ending our final decision on using money to build a charity institution in your country.
So I ask you to help me with the use of this fund when building a charity institution in your country.

I want you to take 5% of the total amount for yourself.
If you are sure to use this fund in accordance with the instructions, please respond immediately.

I'm waiting for your direct answer.

Your good friend,
Mrs. Rebecca
