"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Trade Partnership

Sir

My name is Berkly Morgan from Sierra Leon. I am sending this email to you
in confidence having gone through your very
comprehensive profile which motivated and granted me this great
opportunity to contact you in request for your
professional assistance. In this regard, my sister (Jane Morgan) and I
want to invest in Real Estate Business or any
lucrative business in your Country and we need you to be our partner in
this project.

The fund is going to be provided by our late father's business partner in
Japan with whom we have discussed with, to
buy off the entire stock our late father's 22 Karat Gold Bars already
stocked for shipment. He has accepted to release the
fund into any norminated account as soon as he receive the shipping
documents but the fund will be placed ON HOLD
in the account pending when he receive the Gold Bars before he will
authorize the bank to release the fund. Base on
this we need you as a matter of urgency to partner wih us in this project
to avoid us making mistakes as we don't know
about international business or how it is being handled. For our
protection, we are going to put you in contact with the
buyer in Japan so you can discuss fully with him and make the payment
arrangement safe and secured for us. Again we
shall like the payment to be wired direct to your Country from Japan and
if possible to your account to enable you have
direct control of the fund on our behalf.

As I look forward to provide you more details, kindly respond with your
private email address.

Thanks

Berkly Morgan
