"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: My Will

Hello

How are you today? I am sorry to encroach into your privacy in this manner; I found you listed in the National Database of your country (NDB). I am Maribel Utenzen; a deaf/dumb single 82-yrs old lady from San Jose CA, USA; and hope you don't mind communicating with an old woman of my age? I’m a dying woman suffering from a highly contagious cancer of the breast; and have just few weeks to live according to my personal doctor. In this regards; I've sold my factory and most of my valuable properties; and the sum of $40.5M-USD has been deposited with a finance security firm.

So to show my gratitude & appreciation to almighty God for a life well spent so far; I want to donate this sum of $40.5M-USD for a humanitarian & charity purpose; to give a financial help to cancer suffering patients, physically challenged, orphanages & survivors of recent natural disaster over there in your country.

Please note that; if I die without actualizing this purpose; then the authority of the security firm where the fund ($40.5M-USD) was deposited will dis-train, confiscate and split it among their staffs. So if you are willing and ready to carry out this charity mission; then you should reply asap with your complete personal details as:- (1): Your full name: (2): House/office address: (3): Gender & Age: (4): Country & Nationality: (5): Phone numbers & ID. So until I hear from you; have a great day.
