"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Contract Investment Opportunity

Greetings from Mabel,
I am Mabel Manaku. I'm a Business Developer/Analyst. Please permit me to introduce myself to you,  We are planning to erect/establish a business, the business will be about sales and lease of heavy duty construction equipments.
So we want to involve you. We will split the profit from the business, me and my friend would be in charge of operations, while you will be in charge of finances: receiving money from our contractors and wiring money to our vendors.
We will solicit/bid for contracts, its worth millions of dollars, they can make payment at once or pay bit by bit. Let me know what you think so that I can give you full details to proceed as this transaction will not cost you any of your own money at all because all the arrangement has been made between me and my partner here in the United States.
Thank you for your kind assistance on this successful business.
Mrs Mabel Manaku
