"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I have a message for you

I need your prayers,

I am writing this mail to you with heavy tears In my eyes and great
sorrow in my heart, My Name is Mrs Bonita Schneider, I married to
Mr.Robert Schneider who worked with German embassy in South Africa for
Six years before he died in the year 2010.We were married for eleven
years without a child. He died after a brief illness that lasted for
only two weeks. Since his death I decided not to remarry, When my
late husband was alive he deposited the sum of US$8.5m (Eight Million
Five hundred Thousand Dollars) in a bank in Cape Town a city in South
Africa. Presently this money is still in the bank. He made this money
available from exportation of Diamond,Gold,Ferrochrome,Platinum and
Vanadium.Presently, am terminally ill,as a result of a tumor in the
brain medically called Glioblastoma. And the survival of THUS patient
is tentative except for divine intervention and also swift medical
expertise.

And with the above medical assertions and impression my life span are
numbered I believe that me and you can use this rare opportunity to
help the needy and destitute that includes the Orphanage, homeless and
poor hungry children,I want you to take 30% of the total money for
your personal use While 70% of the money will go to the needy and
destitutes as I have earlier stated. I am the only child of my single
parent and by extension and I don't have anybody as my family member
to confide with this charity venture, just to endeavor that the
kindness of God is maintained and replicated. Lastly,am doing this to
satisfy my conscience and the impression of the vanity of life.Hence
the money can't foot my predicament let me apportion it to persons it
will be useful too.
My late Husband is a kind man ,and i believe I have done his thoughts
because he is a pious man. Thus impression has made me to understand
that Is good to be good.Since our courtship and eventual marriage and
his untimely death I have built this indelible impression of him as
kindness personified.

As soon as I receive your response, I shall give you the contact of my
bank and I will issued an authority letter. that you have to forward
to my bank, to approve you as the present beneficiary of the money in
the bank. That is if you assure me that you will act; accordingly as I
Stated herein and you will not betray my trust.
