"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Important: Problem in your SPF Setttings

Dear VERNON HAMILTON:

You have signed up Mail Relay service with us and sending emails through your mail relay account. However, we have found the following sender domains have SPF problems:

Domain em154388.thetemple.ws has no SPF defined. Please setup the SPF for the domain to be "v=spf1 include:dnsexit.com -all"

The Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is an email-authentication technique which is used to prevent spammers from sending messages on behalf of your domain. The SPF is the TXT record for the domain to tell what are the authorized IPs to sending emails for the domain. SPF can be setup through the domain's DNS provider.

Without correct SPF, emails to Gmail, Yahoo could either get rejected or end up at Spam folders.

To increase email INBOX delivery rate, you may want to setup DKIM too. To verify your SPF and DKIM, please login to your DNS Exit account and click on "Sender Domains" under Mail Relay.

If you got any questions about this email, please contact support@dnsexit.com.
