"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Available for investment

Good Day,

My name is Richard Williams a retired banker, and presently working as a consultant and financial investment adviser. Basically, part of my work is that I get consulted by very Rich individuals, Politicians, Corporate Execs, Top notch people in the oil world who have funds to invest and need the investment outlet without doing that directly. I on the other hand bridge the gap to get good ideas they will put these funds into by reaching out to seek for individuals or companies that need business funding either by way of loan or equity-based partnership.

Presently, I have an investor looking for a competent partner or company owner to work with that can guarantee a good Return on Investment (ROI). My client will be open to provide the funding to finance startups, business ideas & projects, researches & developments as well as business expansion & mergers.

Therefore, I would love to hear your ideas on investment that has capacity to get a good ROI within 5-7yrs. My present client is a politician who prefers to put these funds as a form of investments instead of keeping the money as cash deposits in banks,

So let us hear your ideas, and perhaps we can do business. If all is agreed and your proposal is accepted, keep in mind that funding of this nature is not completed on email communication alone, there will be need for a face to face meeting to meet with the investor's representative and have the paper works perfected and signed.

Any question(s) or concern, please feel free to mention same in your return mail.

Yours truly,
Richard Williams
