"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear Friend,

Dear Friend,

You will be wondering why this message is coming to you at this
moment. I am writing you with faith believing that when you go through
this mail you will be touched to help me. Introducing myself to you, I
am Mrs. Samira Abu Ali the wife of late Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad
Abu Ali Nigerian Army officer who Commanded the Army’s 272 Tank
Battalion. He was killed in an ambush by Boko Haram in Fatori, Borno
State in November 4, 2016.

After demise of my husband his family members collected all my husband
properties from me because I refused to marry any of them according to
their barbaric culture knowing fully that my husband left 3 kids with
me.

My main reason for contacting you is that my husband shortly before he
died made a deposit of six million united states dollars in a bank
which am yet to disclose the name because of security reasons and at
the same time I don’t want his family members to be aware of it. This
funds now I want to transfer to you for safe keeping and investment in
your country until my kids come to maturity.

Please I am a widow praying for the brighter future of my children, I
would like you to have 40% of this money while you keep 60% for my
children which you will invest for them in any profitable venture in
your country. Currently I am undergoing some health challenges and I
am trusting God for healing.

Please consider me and help me have this money transferred to your
account. May Almighty God bless you as you do so.

Waiting for your quick response today.

Your Sincerely,
Mrs Samira Abu Ali.
