"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I'm Sgt. Michael Zaugg from Lubbock, Texas. Presently I'm assigned to the
455thExpeditionary Aerial Port Squadron at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. I
was previously assigned to the 305th Aerial Port Squadron, McGuire Air
Force Base, N.J. and was also among the troops in Iraq in 2003.

I'm soliciting for your cooperation in moving the sum of 12.5 Million
dollars out of this country.
The money is my share of funds recovered during our Iraqi operation andfrom
Taliban/Terrorist den during a reconnaissance/counter insurgency operation
carried out by my unit over here. The money has been lying dormant in a
security vault pending our final disengagement from the Afghan operation.
Please I will like you to keep this proposal as a top secret anddelete it
if you are not interested as I don't want to be court martialed if news of
the find leak out over here.

Upon the receipt of your reply, I will give you the full details onhow the
business will be executed and also note that you will have 25% of the above
mentioned sum if you agree to handle this business with me.

I will give you all the vital information about this transaction as soon as
I receive your reply.
