"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Trust you are doing great today, Having worked as accountant with a Finance house in New York handling high net worth portfolio and international transactions .
I discovered an abandoned sum of 8.5 million u.s.dollars in an account that belongs to one of our foreign clients Late Mrs.Chia Tiong, who died of Covid19 last year. .

Since I have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives, I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin to the deceased so that his funds left behind with the bank valued at (8.5 million U.S. Dollars) will be paid to your nominated bank account within the next Six (6) working days. The reason for contacting you is because you are a foreigner and can act in the capacity of the next of kin to the deceased, the money will be shared 50% to me, 40% to you, 10% for any miscellaneous. For clarity, this transaction is 100% risk free and you have nothing to worry about as all necessary machineries is in place to make sure this fund is paid to you as the legitimate beneficiary.
