"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: TREAT THIS MATTER URGENT

I am Ken Alford. Senior Inspection Officer- United Nations Inspection

in hand with the Department of Homeland Security and U.S Customs
Service.

During my investigation, i discovered some abandoned shipment from
Europe by a Diplomat and after proper scanning and inspections it
revealed an undisclosed sum of money in a metal trunk box weighing
approximately 85kg each. I realize these consignments was abandoned
because the Content was not properly declared by the consignee as
money rather was declared as personal effect to avoid diversion by the
delivery agents and inability to pay for Non-Inspection Fees.

These boxes contain about $9 Million to $10Million by 100 Dollar Bills
after my examinations. Trust that the consignment funds are safe. The
consignments are 2 metal boxes with weight of about 85kg each
(Internal dimension: W61 x H156 x D73 (cm). Effective capacity: (110
LBS.). Approximately, the details of the consignment the official
document from United Nation is tagged on the Metal Trunk boxes.
