"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Corporal Works of Mercy

Dear Sir/MA

Greetings! It is our hope that you are having a day full of
blessings. I represent The Corporal Works of Mercy.
We have an ongoing monthly tradition rendered to everyone who has
been affected by COVID 19 directly or indirectly here in AFRICA,
we propose to form a donation fund. It primarily aims to provide
food, We are currently operating a food bank out of our
premises. All food is based on the amount of donations we
receive. We are finding that our reserves of non-perishable
items, such as canned goods, are desperately low.

We are doing this for those who cannot afford these on account of
COVID. May I request you, that it is our primary duty to help
the poor and the suffering for which our heavenly father had
shown us the path of benevolent devotion. To continue our
dedicated services to the people who are in need of solace and
comfort, the kindhelp from people like you will be in no doubt a
great help.

At this current time, we are requesting donations with the
purpose of replenishing our pantry, so that it offers the highest
level of foods for those in need during the holiday season. We
hope you can find it in your heart to assist us with financial
assistance, as well as provide any food you can spare.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to
contact myself at {hectorfidel989@gmail.com}

Thank you,

Evans C.
