"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My Name is Anita Debbi, a Senior Special Assistant to the Group
Managing Director ANGOLA'S NATIONAL OIL AND GAS (ANPG). We
deliberately over Invoiced a contract payment to the huge amount of
Funds which was awarded to an Italian company: SNAMPROGETTI INC. It is
this over Invoice fund that we want to use you as foreigner to stand
as the Beneficiary to receive the fund for the mutual benefit of
everybody involved. Note that as Government workers, we are not
allowed to operate a foreign account, hence we need your assistance
and collaboration.

For your assistance in receiving this fund, we will give you 20% and
5% will be set aside to offset all incidental expenses both from you
and us, then the remaining 75% will be for me and my colleagues.
Please if you are interested and capable of carrying out this
transaction with us, reply immediately so that I will give you the
documents that can cover the smooth transfer of this fund to your
account.
