"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello , I am Shai Gabbai,

Hello ,

I am Shai Gabbai, an Israeli; and Associate Director at Shai Gabbai LLC a
Law Firm based in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

Apologies if my letter came to you as a surprise, since there has not been
any previous correspondence between us, however this is an important matter
that has brought me to you and I want to present it to you for your
consideration. There is an unclaimed “permanent life insurance policy” held
by a deceased client.

The transaction pertains to an unclaimed “Payable-on-Death” (“POD”) savings
monetary deposit in the sum of (Ten Million Five Hundred Thousand United
States Dollars) with a Reputable Bank. The policy holder was one of my
client's, who was an investor / gold dealer before his death. He died in an
auto crash in Tel-Aviv Israel over Nine years ago and since his death, all
efforts made to locate his relatives have proved abortive and no one has
come forward for this claim.

The Insurance Company Policies stipulates that “insured permanent policy"
not claimed after 10 years, must be turned over to the Abandoned Property
Division (APD) of the state.

In view of the fact that you share the same "LASTNAME" and nationality with
the deceased, I, therefore, solicit your consent to partner with me for
the claim of this Insurance policy benefit. I will present you as the
beneficiary of the claim, if you consent to this request, all proceeds will
be processed on your name / behalf. With your approval, I propose the
sharing of the proceeds as follows, 45% for you, 45% for me and 10% to
charity organizations.

This transaction is 100% legal/risk-free and I have all the necessary legal
documentation to expedite the process in a highly professional manner. I
will provide all the relevant documents to substantiate your claim as the
beneficiary, and it may take up to Fourteen (14) business days from the
date of receipt of your consent / acceptance.

Please kindly provide direct reachable contact numbers for faster
communication. Your earliest response to this matter would be highly
appreciated.

Best Regards

Shai Gabbai
Attorney.
