"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Re: I believe true love still exist

Hi Dear,

Do not be surprised at my email. It's not spam. I found your contact
on my search in Google. I'm currently deployed overseas and needed
someone to talk to. Don't find this offensive, serving in Military
active duty especially being far away from home has a way of getting
comrades depressed but finding a way to overcome it helps a lot
especially during this COVID-19 Pandemic.

Well I'm single right now and I still hope to meet my better-half, I
also believe true love still exists. Do you agree with me?

If you are seeking the same thing we could get to know each other
properly. But if you are married or in an active relationship, Please
kindly ignore this message and delete it. No harm intended.

Hope to hear back from you.

Warm Regards,

Sgt. Rose
