"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

GRETINGS

My name is Karim, and the former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the
immediate past chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr. Abba
Kyari. I came across your contact online while searching for a
reliable businessman, I could partner with, on this business deal.

I'm presently in possession of the sum of Seven million dollars. This
money is owned by my late boss Mr. Abba Kyari, who passed on, in
April, 17th of April 2020 precisely. He was confirmed to have died of
Covid-19 few days he returned from Germany. Before his demise, he had
concluded plans with his German partners to move this funds into one
of his numerous bank accounts in Europe through a diplomatic contact
which he later introduced to me, as his most trusted aide. For the
avoidance of doubt, you may use google to know more about my boss and
the level of powers he wielded during his days.

This funds is in a security company in Abuja owned by a former
Nigerian Ambassador to Germany now late. No member of his family
knows about this funds except me, hence I'm seeking for a reliable
oversea partner who can assist to receive it on my behalf for safe
keeping. Soon as the fund leaves here I shall come down to your
country for us to meet and discuss investment plans where I can invest
this funds.

If you are willing and ready to partner with me you shall be entitled
to a certain percentage which we shall discuss and agree on,
immediately I receive your response.

Best Regards
Hon. Karim Balo.
