"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I will like to work with you.

Dear Sir,

I would like to do this project with you. I am an investment consultant, I
have a client (an Officer in the army, a Former adviser on Security Matters
to one of the dethroned African Leader and deserted from the army) who has
a very good huge amount that is secured in a Holding Facility, which is
meant for offshore investment only.

As a close contact they confided in me seeking assistance to look for
someone they can entrust the funds for management outside the African
continent where political and economic condition is stable.

He wishes to invest in a stable economy on long term bases and I will let
you know the exact amount of money involved as we progress.

These my contacts are in possession of some huge amounts of funds which
they are desirous of moving and investing under your care and management if
you can help identify some viable investment portfolios.

And will disclose the amount when I get your response should this
interest you and I will furnish you with more details, so together we can
rub minds to achieve their desired goals.

Please treat with respect and if you turn down my offer kindly return my
mail. This way, I can look for other contacts.

No matter your decision on this, please keep this confidential and do
destroy it if you are not interested. I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards

Mr. Anatole Bernard Sekongo.
