"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

This department of the United Nations headquarters office here in New
York United States of America quickly writes to your notice that the
diplomatic agent assigned to deliver your parcel will soon leave from
the USA to your home country, after serious deliberations by a six(6)
men top executes of this department. Every arrangement has been put in
place for the departure of the diplomatic agent and every expenses
with regards to his trip will be taken care of which is the air
ticket, hotel accommodations, and travel allowances.

Please reconfirm to us your willingness and readiness to receive the
diplomatic agent with your consignment/parcel. Kindly reconfirm your
home address and bear in mind that a customs clearance duty fee will
be charged on the United Nations consignment trunk box after being
scanned at your country's International Airport port of entry, to
avoid unnecessary delays we urged you to get prepared to receive the
diplomatic agent beforehand.

As a matter of fact, it is the responsibility of our receiving client
to take care of the customs duty clearance fee which will be
calculated through their port of entry customs control unit of their
country which the United Nations have no business with.

The diplomatic agent will contact you on his arrival at your country's
International Airport. We hope to hear from you as soon as possible so
as to know the way forward on dispatching our diplomatic agent by next
week unfailingly.
