"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Good day to you

I hope this mail will find you well, I know this mail will come to you
as a surprise as we did not know in person. Kindly note that I am
sending this mail to you to solicit for your assistance to move sum
magnitude amount in your custody for overseas investment. I got your
contact detail on my search on the email journal and decided to
contact you to share this business deal with you.

I have sum amount of (us$45,000,000,00) in my position which I will
like to move to overseas for invest purpose/safety reason. As things
maybe, I cannot invest/lodge the said amount in my names for safety
reason as a civil servant. The funds in question are lying unclaimed
as over invoiced contract amount and I will need a foreign partner to
move the funds out of the country on his/her names. Kindly indicate
you’re interest on this email (dlaminingcobo@hotmail.com)for more
details. Please erase the message if you are not interested.
