"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: REQUEST FOR PARTNERSHIP

Dear Sir/Madam:
I hope this email finds you in the best of your health and high spirits.
My name is AYA Jean-Pierre; I am a banker from Ivory Coast (Côte-d'Ivoire).
The purpose of this contact is to solicit your partnership for a financial
transaction worth €9 million Euro.
The fund is in our bank and I wanted to move it out of our bank and country
immediately.
But, I need the assistance of a foreign partner to make this business
project a success.
In fact, I would like to put you in contact with our bank as the rightful
beneficiary of the fund.
Thus, you will contact our bank and demand for the transfer of the fund to
your foreign account.
The process is simple; I will input your data in our Computer File Archive
as the beneficiary of the fund.
So, if you are interested, kindly send me your full name and country in
your response.
This business will be concluded in just 7 working days under normal
circumstances.
And, I want you to know that I have already put in place everything for the
success of this project.
Since we are working together as partners and prospective friends, we shall
share the fund equally.
Well, I will explain in detail when I receive your response to this email.
Best regards,
AYA Jean Pierre
