"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Lucky Winner,

In the process of inspecting the past records we discovered that you
have not received your winning prize as one of the Facebook lucky
recipients and have reviewed the affiliated bank which confirms your
deposited fund to be completed and has accumulated interest. Your
folder stipulated that someone was impersonating with a similar
profile prior to when the agent was to release your prize and that was
the reason the board suspended your payment pending when you are
contacted again. The value of your fund with the accumulated interest
is total at $250,000.00.

Please note that your destination is 420 Montgomery Street, San
Francisco, CA 94104 and you are required to confirm when you will be
available for the signing of the documents to enable us to schedule
your appointment.

You have option of signing the required documents by proxy through any
of our accredited attorneys, if health challenge or time constrain
will not permit you to be here and you take responsibility of the
attorney's service fee which shall be paid directly to the assigned
attorney prior to the signing of the documents or subsequent dispatch
of your Cheque.

Please do not hesitate to ask questions where you consider necessary
for further clarification.
