"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My dearest friend,

Good day. How are you? My name is Richard Blackman, and I work as an investment lawyer. I want to talk to you about a business opportunity. A reserved client, with whom I had previously worked on a proposal a few years ago, recently approached me. What he seeks is a person like you who will accept money on his behalf and put it to good use for investment purposes.

Some of our clients relocate the majority of their funds into more developed and stable economies where they can earn a good return on their investment because of the sensitivity of their position in society and the unreliable investment climate in their home country.

If you are interested in learning more about this project, kindly reply to this message via my direct email at blackmanrichard030@gmail.com.

Best regards,
Richard Blackman
