"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: ARE YOU DEAD OR ALIVE?

Dear: Friend

How are You Doing Today, Please it is very very urgent that you
respond to my email on time.

I have just received a phone call from a man by the Name: Mr.
Lancelot Moore of 624 Washington Ave. Montgomery AL 36130, USA and he
claimed that you had a Slight illness on Thursday as a result of your
health condition which led to your untimely death, he said before you
died you told him you have US$25,000,000.00 with our bank and that
he should claim it on your behalf.

So i am sending you this letter to confirm to me if you are still
alive or dead before i can complete the arrangement with your next of
kin Mr. Lancelot Moore, Please "NOTE" If i do not receive any response
from you in the next 5days i will presume that you are dead and will
complete the Final arrangement with him and transfer to his Bank in
USA which he has provided to us for immediate transfer of your fund to
it.

Please if you are alive and well I would appreciate it if you
would respond back to my email immediately and reconfirm to me the
following information as started below to confirm that you are still
alive so that I can conclude arrangements with you for the immediate
payment to you.
