"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello dear,

My name is Michael Gilles, I'm a Business Developer/Analyst. I have a lucrative business opportunity that I would like to introduce to you. It's about establishment that will be about sales, lease and servicing of industrial power generating equipment, such as wind turbines, solar inverters, generators, ferrous and non ferrous metals and so on.

I know getting a business license takes time and costs a lot, so you will just have to go to the local county office to get a DBA certificate ( Doing Business As). It is also called Fictitious name or Assumption name. Then you will take the certificate to the bank to set up a business checking account.

We (me and project manager) already designed proper business plans, you will be in charge of finances and we will be in charge of operations. We will bid for contracts, once we win any, payments will be made into our account. You will receive the payment and then effect payment to our vendors to supply. Since it's an industrial business, the contract amount is on the high side and can be worth millions, they can pay at once or bit by bit. Our profit margin is up to 16%, let me know what you think about all I just explained. If you are cool with it, then I will tell you more about all the plans.

Let me know what you think.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon

Sincerely Yours

Michael
