"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Good Day

Good Day,

I am Cam Barker from Indonesia but my husband is from Hanoi and we live in the United Kingdom, I lost my husband on August 16, 2014. Meanwhile I have been struggling with cancer for a long time and my doctor said that the present stage is uncontrollable and I have a few months more to live.

Before the death of my husband, he handled a contract with the British government worth 4.7 million dollars but death took him away shortly after. My husband was a good hearted kind man who loved to help people. It has been our dream to give to the underprivileged and poor children since we were not able to bear a child of our own. Because of the condition of my health I have sent two million dollars to my home town (Indonesia) and have deposited 700,000.00 $ to the hospital for my medication. I would like to send the remaining two million dollars to you so that you will help the poor and underprivileged in your country as has always been my late husband’s dreams and wishes.  Since we do not have a child to inherit this money, I think it is only right to give away to people that need it as I was also watching the news regarding the Corona-virus in South Africa. I need someone with a good heart and dedication to start a foundation in my name and my late husband with this money, a foundation for the poor

Please tell me if you are interested, ( cam.barker@hotmail.com ).

Thanks

Cam Barker
