"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Greetings beloved!!

Greetings

I am Ms. Darya Kristina, a member of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

With tears in my eyes, I appeal to your urgent help and support at this critical moment of my life. I have used the transparent services of a relief and reconstruction organization here in Ukraine to transfer the sum of US$15.6 million to a reputable security company outside Ukraine. This was done in anticipation of the war that later became a reality. I managed to flee the country and now I am hiding in a country outside Ukraine, and I will reveal my whereabouts if you assure me that you will protect me. Currently, all my achievements in Ukraine have been destroyed, I have lost my husband and my two children have disappeared without a trace.

I sincerely ask for your help so that I can receive the suitcase with the 15.6 million dollars in your country. I want to leave my hiding place here to meet with you and start a new life. Ukraine was completely destroyed by Russian troops, and it will take a long time to rebuild Ukraine. I am a hard-working, dedicated and reliable person before this evil war destroyed my whole race.

I need your sincere and honest answer so that we can succeed with this agreement. I want you to invest the funds and also set up a charity home for the refugees as I have no way of getting the funds at the moment. If you are in a position to hold such an amount of money in trust, please contact me urgently and let me know your willingness. We will work out the modalities for a smooth closing as I have all the documents intact, although I do not know you, but we can work it out together. The Russian President has put all the board members of the National Bank of Ukraine on the wanted list because we financed the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

My story is heart-breaking, I am emotionally and psychologically traumatized thinking about how everything disappeared in an instant. Nobody knows what life will be like tomorrow and I never thought I would be in this helpless position. I feel helpless and it is hard to live with this terrible situation any help you can offer me would be greatly appreciated.

I am waiting for your reply.
Yours sincerely,
Ms. Darya Kristina,
