"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Humanitarian Assistance

Hello Beloved

I am a 59 years old Man who was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer six months Ago, immediately after the death of my wife, My name is Engr. James Morrison Brown from Florida, USA.  I am married to Late Maria C Brown who worked with UK Embassy for 20 years before she passed away  in the year 2018. We were married for 35 years without a child. My late wife died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. Meanwhile, before her death we were both born again Christians and we lived happily.

Since the Death of my late wife, I decided not to re-marry or get a child outside my matrimonial home which the Bible is really against. When my late wife was alive, we jointly Deposited US$5.1M (Five  Million One Hundred Thousand United state Dollars) with a Bank.

Presently, my doctor diagnosed me with terminal cancer and stroke; I have approximately 2 month and 2 weeks to live, but what disturbs me most is the stroke which has made me vulnerable. I am currently confined to a wheelchair, and am being cared for by a nurse.  I have been touched by God to donate our fortune to charities who will set up an NGO to help the Orphans and the less privileged globally, rather than allow my relatives to use our hard earned funds ungodly, since we had no kids to inherit the funds.

As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you more details/contact of the Bank where the fund is currently deposited, and also Instruct my attorney to on-your behalf prepare the inheritance papers regarding the funds.

Kindly send your complete information and assure me that you will act accordingly by using 60% of US$5.1M (Five Million One Hundred Thousand United state Dollars ) for humanitarian purposes, set up an NGO foundation in my wife's name ,help Orphans and less privilege while  40% of this funds goes to you for humanitarian assistance.

Hoping to hear from you soon

Yours in Christ,

Eng.James Morrison Brown
