"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

How are you doing today? My name is Kenneth Egobia and I am working
with a branch of UK Bank where a deposit of US$36,000,000.00 (Thirty-
Six Million US Dollars Only) was made by my close friend who became a
good customer to Monzo.

He died after a brief illness and he did not leave a WILL or gave the
name of his family relative, however his wife died so many years ago
and they had no child.

Now the bank have issued a notice for any of his family relative to
contact them for the claims of the deposit hence I contacted you
because with my direction, you stand a very good chance to receive the
account proceeds without delay, it is with 100% guarantee.

Please have in mind that I will back you up with the required
documents to make your claim legal and successful. For us to start up
with this process, please send your names, address and phone number to
me with a Letter of Acceptance to work with me to achieve this great
goal.

I am waiting for your response as soon as possible.

Ken Egobia.
