"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: GREETINGS

My name is Angela Smith.

I came into contact with you when I was looking for a suitable and reliable
person to set up an Animal Care Foundation in your country.

I see people on television donating funds to support children, the poor and
the elderly, but people do not consider the importance of rescuing
displaced animals.

So I want to donate $ 15,200,000 for you to set up an animal care
foundation to take care of the animals. Just as we have foundations to help
the less privileged, I would like you to set up an animal care foundation
in your country.

If you are interested, please send the following information so that my
lawyer can prepare a legal document on your name that will authorize you to
receive the funds from my bank.

1. Your names
2. Your address
3. Phone number

I look forward to your message.

Thank you very much,
Angela Smith
